Product Composition
The dry mix balances premium grain flours with natural leavening agents and digestive spices like fenugreek:
- Ingredients: Rice Flour (66%), Urad Dal (Split Black Gram) Flour, Salt, Citric Acid (E330) as an acidity regulator, Sodium Bicarbonate (E500(ii)) as a raising agent, and Fenugreek Powder
Quick Preparation Instructions
This instant mix requires only water to activate, condensing a 12-hour traditional routine into three simple steps:
- Prepare the Batter: Empty the 500g contents of the Gits pack into a mixing bowl. Gradually whisk in 800 ml of water to form a smooth, consistent batter. Give it a gentle stir and let the mixture rest for just 1 to 2 minutes.
- Grease and Fill: Bring water to a boil inside an idli cooker or steaming vessel. Lightly grease the cavities of your idli trays with cooking oil or ghee, and pour a ladle of the rested batter into each mould.
- Steam: Place the idli stand into the cooker. Cover tightly and steam on high heat for 10 to 12 minutes. (Note: If using a standard pressure cooker, operate it strictly without the whistle/weight). Serve hot.
