Quick Preparation Instructions
This instant mix requires only water and cooking oil to activate its rapid rising properties:
- Prepare the Batter: Pour the contents of the 200g Gits pack into a bowl. Blend in 240 ml of water and 20 ml (1½ tablespoons) of cooking oil to form a smooth batter. Stir gently and allow the mixture to rest for 2 minutes.
- Grease and Fill: Thoroughly grease your idli maker moulds with a little oil or ghee. Give the rested batter a quick stir and ladle it evenly into the moulds.
- Steam: Place the idli stand inside a steamer or pressure cooker (without the whistle/weight). Steam on high heat for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked through. Serve hot
